Founder of Revive Nutrition
Accredited Practicing Dietitian
PhD (Behavioural Science)
I am an accredited practising dietitian, from Newcastle, Australia. As a dietitian I love helping women who are tired of yo-yo dieting and are seeking support to develop a healthy relationship with food!
I developed a love for food and nutrition from a young age. Growing up I spent a lot of time in the kitchen with my Nan and sisters, cooking all the family favourite recipes. In high school I studied food science, and this cemented my love for nutrition! It was from this moment I knew I wanted to be a dietitian.
In 2012 I graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics and in January the following year, I founded Revive Nutrition. In late 2013 I combined my private practice work with a research assistant role at the university focusing on childhood obesity prevention. This role lead me to undertake a PhD in behavioural science. In 2019 I was awarded my PhD and I now split my time between lecturing at the University and supporting many amazing women through Revive.
I am a lover of red wine and good food – and believe that when it comes to nutrition – ALL FOODS FIT! I believe my role is to help women break free from diet culture, by removing the rules and restrictions of fad diets and by making nutrition simple and enjoyable! Overall my goal to help women become the happiest and healthiest version of themselves whilst including the foods they love and enjoy.
I have four key MANTRAS I preach when it comes to nutrition……
- Nutrition should be simple
- Perfect eating is not healthy eating
- ALL foods FIT
- Balance is key – nourish your body with nutrient dense foods but still make time to enjoy the foods you love!
